On Monday, December 15, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Mr. Tae-Young Park, attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KATA, Korea Association Travel Agents, and Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN).
Under the MoU, TAAN will actively cooperate to ensure safe travel for Koreans to Nepal, and KATA will develop specific measures to increase the number of Nepalese travelers to Korea.
In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Park emphasized that tourism and the EPS program serve as two imporant axes in people-to-people exchanges between Korea and Nepal, and expressed his hope that this MoU would serve as an important opportunity to establish preliminary measures for the safe travel of Koreans and to promote two-way tourism.
